DE WOUD Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy
At DE WOUD, each fragrance is crafted to be experienced personally. To ensure fairness while allowing discovery, we follow a structured 7-Day Trial + 7-Day Return Window, along with clear cancellation guidelines.
1. Order Cancellation Policy
- Orders can be cancelled only before dispatch from our warehouse.
- Once cancelled:
- A 2.5% payment gateway charge will be deducted from the order value.
- Refunds for cancelled prepaid orders will be:
- Credited to the original payment method
- Processed within 15 days of cancellation approval
Post-Dispatch Cancellation
- Orders cannot be cancelled once shipped.
- If a prepaid order is:
- Refused at delivery, or
- Returned back to DE WOUD
→ A ₹150 shipping deduction will be applied before processing any eligible refund.
2. Trial Period (Day 1–7)
- You may use the perfume up to 25% (one-quarter of the bottle) within 7 days of delivery.
- This allows you to experience the fragrance across different occasions.
3. Return Window (Day 8–14)
- Return requests must be raised between Day 8 and Day 14 from delivery.
- No returns will be accepted after Day 14, under any circumstances.
4. Mandatory Return Approval Process
- Before sending the product back, you must:
- Share clear photos/videos of:
- Bottle (showing usage level)
- Packaging
- All items including freebies
- Returns will not be initiated without this proof.
- Do not ship the product unless approved by DE WOUD.
5. Product Usage Condition
- The perfume must not be used beyond 25% of the bottle.
- Exceeding this limit will lead to automatic rejection of the return.
6. Freebies & Complimentary Items
- All complimentary items must be returned:
- Unused
- Undamaged
- In original condition
- Missing or used freebies will result in rejection of the return.
7. Packaging Requirements
- The return must include:
- Original outer box
- Inner packaging
- Inserts/cards
- Incomplete or damaged packaging may lead to rejection after inspection.
8. Return Shipping Policy
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
- DE WOUD does not offer reverse pickup for returns.
- Customers must:
- Use a reliable courier
- Ensure secure packaging
- DE WOUD is not liable for loss or damage in return transit.
9. Replacement Shipping (Exception Cases)
- In cases of:
- Damaged product
- Incorrect product delivered
- Verified manufacturing defect
- DE WOUD may arrange replacement shipping through its courier partner.
- This applies only to approved replacement cases, not general returns.
10. Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed only after inspection and approval.
- Approved refunds are issued within the second week (Day 8–14 cycle) after return approval.
- Timelines may vary depending on your payment provider.
11. Non-Returnable Scenarios
Returns/refunds will not be accepted in the following cases:
Usage & Condition
- Product used beyond 25%
- Bottle tampered, refilled, or altered
- Atomizer/nozzle damaged due to misuse
Timeline Violations
- Request raised after Day 14
- Return shipped after approval validity expires
Process Violations
- No photo/video proof shared before return
- Product shipped without approval
- Mismatch between proof and returned item
Missing Components
- Freebies missing or used
- Missing packaging or inserts
- Partial returns
Authenticity Issues
- Product swapped or found non-authentic
- Labels/batch codes tampered or removed
Logistics Issues
- Return lost due to courier choice
- Damage during return transit
Preference-Based Reasons
- Dislike of fragrance after exceeding usage limit
- Change of mind after return window
Policy Misuse
- Repeated or abusive return patterns
- Bulk order misuse
12. Damaged / Incorrect Product Claims
- Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
- Unboxing video/photos are mandatory
- Claims without proof may not be accepted
